The Life Mate
I never loved you man, believe me
All I desired was to be my family maker
For I trusted your noble soul and dignity
but I knew my dream was a light sleeper
awoke by the tame touch of your words on my ear
for you fly far where I get so near
and now farewell my desperate dream
we may gather again in some wonderland
under the roof of some chocolate flat
around a brown candy table
four seats for you and I
and two kids reading a fable
they view the lines of their mother's fate
and how badly she desired you as the
life mate
